The high command is constantly making efforts to resolve the internal discord of the Congress in Rajasthan. After claiming reconciliation earlier, now another big statement has come out from the high command. Party general secretary Jairam Ramesh says, “The party is paramount and the entire party will fight unitedly in the upcoming assembly elections.”
Jairam Ramesh further said, “There was a long meeting on May 29. All topics were discussed. The party is paramount. We will fight the elections unitedly and win.”
In fact, after the recent marathon meeting of party president Mallikarjun Kharge and former president Rahul Gandhi, it was said that an agreement has been reached to fight the upcoming assembly elections unitedly.
What did the pilot say on the claim of reconciliation?
Party’s organization general secretary KC Venugopal had also said that Gehlot and Pilot have agreed to the party’s proposal. However, he did not give any details about this. At the same time, Pilot on Wednesday (May 30) refused to back down from his other demands, including action against alleged corruption in the BJP government, saying that there was no possibility of compromise on the issues he had raised.
The meeting was held at Kharge’s residence on May 29
On May 29, Gehlot and Pilot arrived at different times for the nearly four-hour meeting held at 10 Rajaji Marg, Kharge’s residence. Gehlot came to Kharge’s residence around 6 pm and Pilot reached there about two hours after him. After this, both the leaders also appeared together in front of the media. In this meeting, an attempt was made to resolve the ongoing disputes between the two.
