NIRF Ranking released: IIT Madras became the top institute in the NIRF Rankings 2023. The Rankings can be accessed on the official website of NIRF. The latest Rankings includes four categories, Overall colleges, Universities and Research institutions. The subject domain will now have Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, law, Medical, Architecture and Planning. Also a new addition- Agriculture and allied sectors. IIT Madras has maintained its top position in the Engineering and overall categories. The Indian institute of Science in Bengaluru has once again secured the top position among the universities in the NIRF rankings. JNU and Jamia Milia Islamia came in the second and third spots.
Five DU colleges among Top 10
The aim of the National Institutional Ranking Framework is to give high quality education and help the students to take their own decisions. While highlighting the growing involvement in the rankings, the National Board of Accreditation Secretary mentions that in 2016, 3500 institutes participated while 8686 institutes took part this year. Last year also five Delhi University colleges came in the top 10 list in the rankings. Similarly this year also, AtmaRam Sanatan Dharma college has secured a spot among the top 10 , while Loyola college has slipped to the seventh rank.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences has once again secured the top rank in the Medical category of the national Institutional Ranking Framework.
