Odisha: On the Secunderabad-Agartala Express on Tuesday, smoke came from the AC unit in one of the AC coaches, causing alarm among the passengers and compelling railway officials to stop the train at the Brahmapur station in Odisha. Passengers Express Fear and Demand Coach Change After Smoke Incident
Even though the smoke was quickly put out, the terrified passengers baulked at riding in the coach because they were worried about another electrical failure. They demanded that the coach be changed. After the smoke was under control, the train departed from the station. The Secunderabad-Agartala Express coach number B-5 reportedly experienced a small electrical problem close to Brahmapur station.
Railway Officials Ensure Prompt Resolution of Smoke Incident Amidst Recent Tragedy
An East Coast Railway (ECoR) official said that the staff members who were on duty swiftly attended to the problem and fixed it. The tragedy happened after a three-train collision on June 2 in Odisha’s Balasore district resulted in 278 fatalities and over 1,100 injuries.
