The entry of devotees wearing short and provocative clothes has been banned in the ancient Mankameshwar temple of Sangam city Prayagraj. The temple management has issued a guideline in the form of dress code for the devotees coming for darshan and worship. In this, it has been directly said that the temple is a place of meditation, the devotees coming here, especially women and girls, have been instructed not to come wearing short clothes.
The temple management says that this is a place of meditation, there is no place for those who perform. Small clothes, tattered clothes make the atmosphere here provocative instead of devotional, which is against our culture and eternal civilization. Sridharanand Maharaj, the chief priest of the temple, says that one of the reasons for the increasing incidents of love jihad in the country is that today we are moving away from our eternal culture. Wearing mutilated clothes, they are going for darshan and worship, which is not a part of our culture from anywhere.
In our culture, women used to go to temples wearing sarees for worship and worship, but in today’s time, we are moving away from our culture. They are adopting western culture, due to which other problems including love jihad have arisen in the country. To deal with this, the other major temple management of the country will also have to come forward, so that we can restore our culture and civilization.
At the same time, the devotees coming here are also welcoming the decision of the temple management to implement the dress code. Devotees say that this temple is a place of darshan worship. We should not come here wearing such clothes which are against the dignity. Everyone should welcome the decision of the temple management.
What did the devotees say
Vinay Prakash of Prayagraj, who came to visit the temple, says that this is a place of meditation. People come here to meditate on God, so the clothes that come here should be modest and decent. This decision of the temple management is welcome, everyone should support it.
