BIHAR: There Will be a complete lockdown in the state from 16 July to 31 July, announced Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi.
The total number of patients in Bihar is close to 18 thousand. 160 people have died so far due to this virus. It is a matter of relief that till now 12 thousand 317 people have been cured. The number of active cases in the state is 5482.
Through his tweeter account Sushil kumar informed that the lockdown would remain at all municipal, district, sub-divisional and block headquarters level.
“There is no medicine or vaccine for corona. We have to ensure that we cover our faces with masks, handkerchiefs or towels,” he said.
Transport services will remain suspended during lockdown. (Air and rail transport, taxis, auto rickshaws, private vehicles for permitted activities, essential service providers, business transport vehicles).
During lockdown, shops of essential goods like medicine, grocery, fruits, vegetables, meat, fish etc. will remain open. Other shops will remain closed. But shops for fruits, vegetables, meat, fish etc. have been allowed to open from 6 am to 10 pm and only from 4 pm to 7 pm in the evening.
The government have taken this decision during a high-level meeting, which was called today to discuss further measures to curb the spread of coronavirus infection in the state.
As many as 1,116 COVID-19 positive cases were found in the State and nine deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
