Weather Update: According to IMD, heavy rainfall will occur in several parts of the country. During the next five days, several parts of the country will be under heavy rainfall, while most parts will face moderate rainfall.
Good news comes in the form of the abatement of heat waves in India. IMD predicts that the heatwave will only continue in some isolated places in Vidarbha and will be completely abated thereafter.
This sigh of relief will be welcomed by the Indians as the heat waves affected the population throughout the country. IMD also predicts heavy rainfall over isolated areas of Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim for the next two days.
Delhi
According to IMD, Delhi, alongside Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh, will face heavy rainfall in isolated areas on the 25th and 26th of June. Delhi will still be hot, with the maximum temperature going up to 37 degrees while the minimum will be 29 degrees.
Mumbai
Monsoon will arrive in Mumbai this weekend after a week’s delay because of the cyclone. IMD specialists sound hopeful that Monsoon will arrive in Mumbai between June 23 and June 25. For today, Mumbai will face a maximum temperature of 32 degrees, with a minimum going to 28 degrees.
Chennai
Chennai has been receiving good rainfall for the past few days, and the trend will continue going forward. Thunderstorms are set to hit in the next 24 hours, giving Chennai moderate rainfall over some isolated areas. The temperature will fluctuate around 34 degrees to 27 degrees with 40% perspiration.
Kolkata
The maximum and minimum temperature in Kolkata will fluctuate between 32 degrees to 27 degrees, with heavy rainfall being predicted for the 22nd and 25th of June. Thunderstorms are also likely for the next five days.
