Asia Cup 2023: As major tournaments are coming to a close, Indian team are facing more and more problems. It was reported that KL Rahul would be available for Asia Cup alongside both Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer.
But new reports have come out stating that Jasprit Bumrah will make his comeback before Asia Cup, and KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer won’t be part of the Indian squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. Which is just one month away.
Wicket-Keeper Batsman missing the Asia Cup 2023
India suffered a major blow when his fitness report stated that he wouldn’t make it in time for Asia Cup 2023, according to Cricbuzz. This is a major blow as India will not only lack middle-order stability without him but will also miss a Wicket Keeper.
India was expecting him to return by the tournament. This gives the Indian selectors another headache, as finding a Wicket Keeper can be hard. It seems like Sanju Samson might get an extended stay in the team in the absence of KL Rahul.
Rishabh Pant has also been out for a long time because of his car accident. His return is far away and will take almost a year. Bumrah will return to the squad before Asia Cup 2023 against Ireland. This gives India some boost.

Shreyas Iyer to Miss World Cup?
The blows do not stop here only, as Shreyas Iyer might also be out for a long time. The middle-order batsman is set to miss World Cup now because of his injury. His fitness status is not completely known, but there are doubts if the speed of his recovery.
If India loses Iyer before World Cup, it will be a huge blow for the team. India might also try Ishan Kishan in the squad if Iyer fails to pass the fitness test before the World Cup.
