ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023: Hasaranga led Sri Lanka to another win with his balling performance. After his impressive all-around performance in the first qualifier match against UAE, Hasaranga was also terrorizing batsmen here.
Alongside Lahiru Kumara, who took 3 wickets, Hasaranga, with his 5-wicket haul, did not even let Oman touch 100 run score. Both of the bowlers shared 8 wickets between them to strike Oman out for just 98 runs in just 30.2 overs.

While batting first, Oman never looked comfortable. Lahiru Kumara was bowling fast and on disciplined lines to give Oman three early shocks. After that, Jatinder Singh and Ayaan Khan tried to salvage the inning, but Hasaranga had different plans.
Hasaranga bowled a three-wicket-maiden over to completely topple Oman’s middle order. Ayaan Khan fought alone till the end, but Hasaranga puts him out of his misery as well later on. He completed his five wickets in just 7.2 overs while giving just 13 runs.

A Comfortable Win
Sri Lanka chased the target without an ounce of problem. Karunaratne played a 61 runs innings to make sure that the match was finished as early as possible. Srilanka chased the target in just 15 overs with 10 wickets in hand.
The win has put Sri Lanka in a comfortable position as they need only win 1 more to qualify for Super Six. It was Oman’s first loss in 3 matches. They are level on points with Scotland and Sri Lanka and need one more win to qualify for the super six.
