Adipurush controversy: Adipurush has been mired in controversies, receiving widespread criticism from critics and audiences alike. Starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, the film has been at the receiving end of severe backlash owing to its cringe-worthy dialogues, poor quality of VFX, and distortion of facts. Now, the latest to troll the film is cricketer Virender Sehwag who took to his official Instagram account to take a sarcastic jibe. Read on to know more.
Virender Sehwag trolls Adipurush
Virender Sehwag woke up and chose violence on Sunday, taking a sly dig at the makers of the controversial film Adipurush. The cricketer, in his Instagram post, mentioned the popular characters of Prabhas’ film Baahubali and used the wildly popular phrase ‘Katappa ne Bahubali ko Kyun Maara?’ He wrote, “Adipurush dekhkar pata chala Katappa ne Bahubali ko kyun maara tha”.
In case you have been living under a rock, Adipurush has turned out to be the biggest disappointment for fans, with multiple complaints filed against the makers across the country.
Adipurush’s flop show at the box office
Adipurush, made on a monumental budget of Rs 600 crore, has tanked at the box office, failing to collect even the cost that went into making the film. Multiple shows of the film have been canceled, suggesting it will be out of the theatres in a couple of days. Despite an alteration in the contentious dialogues, the film has failed to impress viewers, with many saying the damage was already done. Anything that could have plausibly revived the film was further destroyed by makers who could not come up with a logical explanation and went on to state controversial justifications.
