Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, met with bike and cycle mechanics on Tuesday in Delhi’s Karol Bagh, carrying on his public outreach efforts from the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra‘ days. The Congressman didn’t think twice to get his hands dirty while mending a bike as he sat on the ground next to mechanics in a shop.

As he picked up a screwdriver to mend the two-wheeler, he was observed conversing with the traders and bike technicians. The former Lok Sabha member also spoke with vendors and employees at the Karol Bagh bicycle market. The Congress leader greeted the gathering that had assembled and shook hands with the people.
Rahul Gandhi Connects with Delhi Residents, Undeterred by Challenges
The Gandhi scion has already interacted with Delhi residents. During Ramadan, Gandhi went to the Bengali and Matia Mahal markets in old Delhi and treated himself to some of the local specialties. He engaged with candidates for the civil service two days later in the city’s Mukherjee Nagar neighbourhood. Even if Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification and conviction in a defamation case make the 2024 Lok Sabha elections appear out of reach for him, Gandhi is adamant about “continuing” his yatra.
