Top 5 stocks of the day: Eicher Motors, HDFC, HDFC Bank, Tata Consumer Products, and UPL were among the top Nifty losses, while Bajaj Auto, Divis Laboratories, Hero MotoCorp, Maruti Suzuki, and HDFC Life were among the top gainers. Auto, FMCG, PSU Bank, and Oil & Gas all had sectors gains of 1%, although some selling was observed in the banking names. The BSE smallcap and midcap indices both increased by 0.7 percent.
Sensex and NSE Nifty50
The major indices for India ended the tumultuous session on July 5 unchanged. At closing, the Nifty was up 9.50 points or 0.05% at 19,398.50 and the Sensex was down 33.01 points or 0.05% at 65,446.04. A total of 1929 shares rose, 1481 shares fell, and 119 shares were unchanged.

Strides Pharma sinks after subsidiary plans
Following the announcement by its subsidiary that it would be selling off its manufacturing facility, Strides Pharma Science Limited’s stock experienced a decline on Wednesday.
Following Stellis Biopharma, a subsidiary of Strides Pharma, announcing that it will sell its manufacturing facility at the Bommasandra Industrial Area in Bengaluru to Synege International, Strides Pharma reported in an exchange filing on July 4 that the shares had fallen. The manufacturing facility will be purchased by Synege International for Rs 702 crore in an all-cash deal. Within 90 days, the transaction is anticipated to finalise.
