Russia-Ukraine War: Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko has stated the Wagener leader Yevegeny Progozhinj is in St.Petersburg and his troops have maintained their position at the camps they stayed after the end of abortive mutiny. Earlier Russian Media had detailed some claims over Wagner leader being present in St. Petersburg.
President Lukashenko had brokered a deal between Prigozhin and Russian administration after former’s mutiny had seriously escalated tensions. Under the terms of agreement Prigozhin was sent to Belarus to live in exile.
‘Maybe he left for Moscow’
Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko briefed international press on whereabouts of Yevegeny Prigozhin “As for Prigozhin, he’s in St Petersburg. He is not on the territory of Belarus. He further added “Where is Prigozhin this morning? Maybe he left for Moscow.”
The appearance of Wagner leader in St.Petersburg is seen as a part of an agreement that allowed Prigozhin to finalize his affairs in the city.
Russian missile hits Lviv
Meanwhile a Russian missile attack struck an apartment block in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv. The attack claimed 4 lives and injured 34 people in its wake. Around 50 apartments and 60 cars have been reported damaged as per Ukrainian authorities.
