In a landmark decision, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday announced a WhatsApp number and an email ID to accumulate feedback from industrialists in order to encourage industry in the state. CM Mann unveiled the email address punjabconsultation@gmail.com and WhatsApp number 8194891948 in order to promote a business-friendly atmosphere in the region.
Aam Aadmi’s input crucial for Punjab
The chief minister reportedly stated in an official statement that the Punjabi government formulates policies based on input from many stakeholders. He gave examples of how the state administration has requested public input before establishing free power programmes, opening “Aam Aadmi Clinics,” and launching many other projects.
As a result, 90% of people have no outstanding debt, approximately 35 lakh people have received free medical care at Aam Aadmi Clinics, and after 40 years, canal water has finally reached the villages at the farthest end of the state, according to CM Mann.
Industrial boost for economic growth
According to the chief minister, the state government has chosen to boost the industry in Punjab in order to place the state on a high growth trajectory of economic growth. He stated that the goal is to establish Punjab as a center of industrial development so that the state’s youth have access to as many job opportunities as possible.
Mann stated that in addition to bringing in new industrial projects, the state government will also create an environment that is conducive to business for the existing industrial units so they can extend their activities there. He also urged the business owners to share their opinions on how to promote their industries via email and WhatsApp.The chief minister concluded by saying that these insightful recommendations will assist the state government in developing policies to support business in Punjab.
