That is why when he got injured, the whole Indian crowd was sad. When he lost the World Cup 2019, the whole world sighed alongside him. Who can forget his picture of him holding the cap on his face and just smiling? That picture still breaks the heart of many of his fans.
But he completed his destiny of winning an ICC trophy when he won the World Test Championship 2021 finals. And even though he defeated India, as a cricket fan, everyone was happy. Because Williamson had achieved what he always wanted to.

The video features other clips of Kane Williamson where he states his favorite player as Sachin Tendulkar. He also states that he wants to play alongside him if he ever gets the chance. That dream of his might not have come true, but something else happened.
The video ended with the New Zealand skipper receiving the award from the Master Blaster. In a post-match ceremony of the ICC World Cup 2019, Sachin himself gave the award to Williamson. And at that moment right there, Williamson had achieved bliss. An emotional tale that did not have the ending Williamson wanted but yet a satisfactory one.
Eyeing World Cup Return
Kane Williamson has been out of action since he got injured in an IPL match against Chennai Super Kings. But it looks like he is ready to make his return right before the World Cup. If he can do that we will be grateful as Williamson’s playing is a gift to all cricketing fans.
