Rajasthan: Rajendra Gudha, a fired minister, was assisted by BJP MLAs in causing disorderly scenes in the House on Monday during Zero Hour, leading to the adjournment of the Rajasthan legislature. Gudha confronted his own Congress government in the assembly on Friday, leading to his dismissal as minister of state. Gudha approached Speaker C P Joshi’s chair with a “red diary” and argued with him. The speaker invited him to his chamber as Gudha waved the red diary. After some time, Gudha approached Shanti Dhariwal, the minister for parliamentary affairs, and accosted him as he stood to speak. At this time, ugly incidents were seen, and BJP MLAs also stirred up a commotion and stormed the House well over the “red diary” issue. The House was then adjourned by the speaker. Rajendra Singh Gudha, a former minister for Rajasthan, has levelled a shocking charge against Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister, and Congress legislators. He claimed that he was kicked, punched, and dragged from the crowd. In a media interview, he threatened to reveal Gehlot and the ‘corruption’ that the latter committed during the assembly and cricket elections.

Rajendra Gudha Describes Brutal Attack in the Assembly
“Around 50 people attacked me, punched me, kicked me and Congress leaders dragged me out of the Assembly. The Chairman of the Rajasthan Assembly did not even allow me to speak. There were allegations against me that I am with BJP. I want to know, what is my fault?” Gudha said. After being refused access into the legislature a few days after being fired as a minister from the Gehlot cabinet, Gudha made the comments. A group of men wearing white gowns prevent the former minister from entering the parliament in a video that the news agency ANI posted. He said, “I wanted to present my red diary to the Chairman but he did not allow me to speak. Congress leader Shanti Kumar Dhariwal pushed me and other Congress leaders started fighting with me and took away some pages of the diary. Some Congress leaders kicked and punched me and later threw me out of the Assembly. I was getting calls to not attend the session and that I will be sent to jail soon.”

Rajendra Gudha’s Controversial Exit from Rajasthan Cabinet
Gudha was dismissed from the Rajasthan cabinet earlier on Friday, only hours after he had attacked his own administration for recent violence against women in the state, which is preparing for elections. In his speech to the state assembly, Rajendra Singh Gudha said, “It is true and should be accepted that we have failed in women’s safety.” We should investigate why crimes against women have escalated in Rajasthan rather than concentrating on Manipur. Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, responded, “This is an internal matter that we will discuss among ourselves,” when asked why Rajendra Singh Gudha had been kicked out of the cabinet.
