Pro Panja League: The arm wrestling fever is sky-high in India and Pro Panja is ready to capitalise on that. Not only has it sold its streaming rights to Fancode, but now it has also announced a whopping winning prize.
The first season of the Pro Panja League is all set to take place in IGI Stadium, Delhi from July 28 to August 13. The co-founder, Parvin Dabas made the huge announcement regarding the prize money ahead of the launch.
The inaugural season of the arm wrestling competition will showcase ten weight classes. Three for women and six for men and one for the physically challenged. There will be six teams of 30 players each.
Whopping Prize Money
“For the first edition, we have decided to give INR 20 lakh to the winning team. We will be offering prize money of INR 5 Lakh for the runners-up,” Parvin Dabas stated before the launch of the league.
Pro Panja League made a huge announcement a few days ago when it announced the same money for female, male, and specially-abled people. “We wanted to offer special prize money to the best player of the tournament – be it from any category. Sports should be equal and accessible to all. Hence, we will also be offering prize money of INR 1 Lakh to the Player of the Tournament.
Fancode Up For The Task
Fancode will be live-streaming the tournament completely from 5 pm to 7 pm. All the undercard matches will be streamed live on the platform. PPL is termed the largest arm-wrestling league in Asia.
Viewers can also catch the tournament during the live broadcast of the matches on Sony Sports Network. Audiences from the US can watch the matches on Willow TV.
