PM Modi: On July 27 and 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to travel to Rajasthan and Gujarat. According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi will dedicate many development projects to the country on Thursday morning in Sikar, Rajasthan, during a public ceremony. In addition, Modi will debut Urea Gold, a new form of urea that is covered in sulphur, and he will dedicate 1 lakh PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) to the country at the same time.
Key Highlights of PM Modi’s Visit
“The introduction of Sulphur Coated Urea will address sulphur deficiencies in the soil. This innovative fertiliser is more economical and efficient than neem-coated urea, improves nitrogen use efficiency in plants, reduces consumption of fertiliser, and enhances crop quality,” the PMO release said. Additionally, the 14th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), totaling about Rs 17,000 crores, will be distributed to more than 8.5 crore beneficiaries during his visit. Prime Minister Modi will lay the cornerstone for seven medical colleges at Baran, Bundi, Karauli, Jhunjhunu, Sawai Madhopur, Jaisalmer, and Tonk in addition to launching five new medical colleges in Rajasthan at Chittorgarh, Dholpur, Sirohi, Sikar, and Sri Ganganagar.
PM Modi Inaugurates Development Projects and Emphasizes Semiconductor Industry Potential
After his trip to Rajasthan, PM Modi will travel to Gujarat, where he will inaugurate a number of development projects totaling more than Rs 860 crores as well as a newly constructed greenfield airport in Rajkot. In order to emphasise investment potential in India’s semiconductor industry, he will inaugurate “Semicon India 2023” on Friday in Gandhinagar, the state capital. “The theme of the Conference is ‘Catalysing India’s Semiconductor Ecosystem’. It aims to bring together global leaders from industry, academia and research institutions. It showcases India’s semiconductor strategy and policy which envisions making India a global hub for semiconductor design, manufacturing and technology development,” the release added. Representatives from important corporations including Micron Technology, Applied Materials, Foxconn, SEMI, Cadence, and AMD will attend SemiconIndia 2023.
