Remi Lucidi, a well-known French extreme athlete, was sadly discovered dead after falling from Hong Kong‘s 68-story Tregunter Tower complex. The 30-year-old Lucidi had entered the building, where he is thought to have become stranded outside the apartment on the top floor. He frantically hammered on a window in an effort to get assistance, frightening a maid within. He sadly lost his balance and fell to his death.
Authorities investigating security breach and communication breakdown leading to tragedy
According to Hong Kong officials who saw Lucidi at the premises and were able to corroborate the incident took place around 6 o’clock in the evening. He allegedly told the gate security officer that he was going to a friend’s office on the 40th floor. However, the security barrier sought to stop him from going on after confirming the supposed friend’s denial of any acquaintance with Lucidi. However, he had already gotten inside a lift by that point.
Tragic high-rise stunt captured on CCTV
CCTV footage captured Lucidi’s entry on the 49th floor and his continued ascent to the building’s top. Despite finding an open hatch going to the roof, onlookers were unable to find the daredevil. But at 7:38 p.m., a maid in the flat heard him tapping on the penthouse’s window, and she called the police. Lucidi, who was stranded outside the penthouse, cried out for help before tragically falling to the ground. The authorities found Lucidi’s camera at the site, which was loaded with films of his risky high-rise antics. The official reason for his premature death is still unknown, according to the authorities.
