Patna News: In order to improve the attendance of school children, the Chief Secretary of the Education Department has come up with a fresh directive for private coaching institutions asking them not to operate between 9am to 4pm on all working days. The chief secretary has also written letter to the district magistrates and asked them to ensure coaching institutes do not operate during school hours. The move after the school observes that the attendance of the students between class to 12 was declining.
‘Students don’t want to miss their Coaching Classes’
Most of the coaching institutes also run in the morning due to which the students had to choose between either attending the school or the coaching institute. In this situation, mostly students choose to attend the coaching classes as their parents had paid heavy fees for their coaching. The students who go for coaching are mostly from the Science streams, and as the month of the exam approaches they need to give more time to their extra classes.
This move will allow them to focus on both sides
The Additional Chief secretary has decided to initiate this move to bring a balance between the students in their studies and coaching classes. The students can attend their coaching after they get free from the schools.
