Bollywood movies to watch on Independence Day 2023
1. The Legend of Bhagat Singh
Based on the life of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, the movie was released in the year 2002. Starring Ajay Devgan and Sushant Singh in the lead roles, the movie garnered critical acclaim. Ajay also won National Award for the film.
2. Shershah
The 2021 film “Shershaah,” starring Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, captured the hearts of many with its captivating storyline. It portrayed the life of the Kargil war hero, Captain Vikram Batra, who made the ultimate sacrifice while valiantly recapturing Indian territories from Pakistani intruders during the Kargil War in 1999. The film received widespread love & was premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
3. Border
J.P. Dutta’s film, inspired by true events during the Battle of Longewala in 1971, left a significant impact on the audience. The India-Pakistan war film featured a stellar cast, including Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Puneet Issar, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda in leading roles. The director’s exceptional work earned him the prestigious National Award for Best Direction in 1998, adding to the film’s accolades and recognition.

4. Major
“Major” is a powerful Indian biographical action film released in 2022, skillfully directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and produced by G. The film delves into the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a brave soul who sacrificed his life during the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
