Independence Day: With the Independence Day around the corner, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation shares an important advisory ahead of the Independence day through Twitter. It says that, additional time might be needed in view of the enhanced security and frisking measures ahead of the Independence day. Please allow for some extra time in your commute.
DMRC’s Guidelines for Independence Day
Like every Independence day DMRC has come out with few guidelines for the commuters for a safe travel if they are using Delhi Metro. However there will be tight security measures than usual days on 15th August. The Delhi Traffic Police will not allow any roads to open from 4am to 10am keeping the security measures in view. Massive Security Arrangements have been made at the Red Fort where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Nation. Around 1000 CCTVs have been installed around the Red Fort to keep an eye on the security measures.
City will be on Alert on the Independence Day
The National Capital will be on high alert during the Independence day. The area around the Red Fort will be a No Flying Zone for the entire day until the Flag Hoisting ceremony is over. The General Public is advised to maintain patience while taking some routes on the particular day.
