IIT Kharagpur: According to an announcement, the IIT-Khargpur inaugurated a programme on artificial intelligence (AI) on Friday to better educate students for the demands of the industry.
The three-month, weekend-only online programme will be taught by teachers from the computer science, electronics, electrical, and math departments, according to the AI for Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems at IIT-Khargpur, which launched it in partnership with TCS iON.

The course, titled “Hands-on AI for the real-world Applications,” will also involve practical instruction from TCS scientists, business professionals, and IIT research researchers.
According to the statement, the certificate programme has been painstakingly created to not only satisfy the needs of the aluminium sector but also to be structured to carry out NEP 2020 guidelines including concepts-based and practical transdisciplinary learning, and upskilling for employability.
Students would receive 100 hours of total experience learning, industry readiness, real-world datasets, and the chance to speak with business leaders as part of the course, it claimed.
Course fee and eligibility
The certification programme will start on September 2 and end on December 2. The cost of the training is Rs 4,998.
Freshmen, students seeking undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) degrees, and those who wish to pursue a career in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) are all eligible to enrol. Both working professionals seeking a change in career as AI/ML engineers and those with only a rudimentary understanding of programming seeking to advance their careers in IT are eligible.
