Animal viral video: Whenever the word tiger is heard, a beautiful golden striped powerful creature comes to mind. But a rare melanistic tiger has been found in Similipal Tiger Reserve, Odisha which is black in colour. Hardly anyone would have seen a black tiger. Indian Forest Service officer Ramesh Pandey has shared its video on social media with his Twitter handle.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Ramesh Pandey wrote, “Beautiful camera trap video of a melanistic tiger in Similipal Tiger Reserve, Odisha, the only place where we see blackish tigers because of genetic mutations in the population.” It can be seen in the video that the melanistic tiger is trying to climb the tree. The video is being watched a lot by the viewers and till now it has earned 70.4K Views.

Reason behind the black colour of the tiger
Earlier in 2007 melanistic tiger was seen in Simlipal Tiger Reserve. The reason for the black colour of tigers is a genetic mutation which is extremely rare.
