WhatsApp Group Voice Chat Feature: Meta is planning to add a new group chat feature in its Messaging platfrom, WhatsApp, the company is rolling out a new voice chat feature for group chats on the beta version of the platform for the Android Users. As per WABetaInfo. “People using the Beta Version of Whatsapp will see a new voice waveform icon within a group”.
By clicking on the waveform Icon, the voice chat will automatically start in your device and a specilized interface will start appearing. Every member of the group can join the group voice chat anytime, and if in the initial 60 Minutes of starting voice chat, no one joined it, it will automatically end. Any member of the group can initiate a new audio conversation anytime.
There is an eligibility criteria for using this new feature, this feature is available for the groups with more than 32 partiipants and the voice chat feature can only be used by 32 participants at a time, no matter if there are more participants in the group, this features enables only 32 participants of the group to take part in the Voice Chat. The primary benefit of this feature is that it works like a call for the group participants, without ringing everyone.
Whenever anyone starts a new voice chat. alll the participants in the group will get a silent notification, a tiny thumbnail of voice chat will also appear in the chat to signify that a voice chat has been started in the group. This voice chat feature is also secured with end-to-end encryption which completely ensures the privacy of all the group voice chats.
This features is not yet rolled out for all whatsapp users, it is available only for the people who has the latest version of WhatsApp Beta, it too only for Android users.
