Punjab Update: In an unprecedented move, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is spearheading the organization of the inaugural Punjab Tourism Summit, a groundbreaking event aimed at boosting the state’s tourism sector and showcasing its vibrant culture and heritage on the global stage.
Anmol Gagan Mann, the Minister for Punjab Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Investment Promotion, Labor, and Hospitality, led a meeting at Punjab Bhavan Chandigarh to discuss preparations for the upcoming summit. Notably, the summit will extend its invitation beyond domestic boundaries to include Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) residing abroad.
The central focus of the Punjab Tourism Summit is twofold: driving tourism growth and attracting substantial investments to the state. The event will feature exhibitions, seminars, and a diverse range of activities that shed light on the state’s historical significance. The Punjab government’s dedicated efforts to preserve the invaluable and distinctive heritage of the region, while also passing down this knowledge to future generations, are evident.
The meeting saw the presence of key figures such as Rakhi Gupta Bhandari, Principal Secretary of the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, KK Yadav, CEO of Investment Promotion, Amrit Singh, Director of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, and other esteemed officials.
