According to the roster compiled by Instagram’s scheduling tool, Hopper HQ, Kohli commanded a staggering sum of INR 11.45 crore for each sponsored post he shared on his Instagram in the 2023 compilation. Prsently, Virat has 256 million followers on Instagram.

The same list also features notable personalities such as Cristiano Ronaldo, with Lionel Messi trailing closely behind. Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo amassed an impressive amount of USD 3.23 million (equivalent to INR 26.75 crore), while Lionel Messi, the recent addition to MLS, commanded USD 2.56 million for each of his Instagram posts (amounting to INR 21.49 crore), as reported by Hopper HQ.
Within the top 20 rankings, which notably feature prominent figures such as Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez, Virat Kohli stands as the sole Indian personality. According to the findings outlined in the report, Kohli’s Instagram posts commanded a fee of USD 1.38 million per post, equivalent to an impressive INR 11.45 crore for each individual upload. At the current juncture, he boasts a substantial follower count of 256 million on the platform.

Mike Bandar, one of the co-founders of Hopper HQ, expressed a sense of surprise when observing the substantial growth in earnings of global celebrities over the years through their Instagram ventures. He stated, “It’s still shocking to me that the annual money made on the platform increases every year.”
