This knowledge of him has stunned people from all over the country and many devotees take their problems to his divine court. Devotees call him Baba Bageshwar and a large number of devotees go to listen to Ram or Hanumant Katha through him.
In this article, we are going to share with you the story of Lord Krishna’s wives and the reasons for his multiple marriages, as told by Baba Bageshwar.
Rukmini
Rukmini is the first wife of Lord Krishna. Rukmini and Lord Krishna were meant to be together as she was the incarnation of goddess Lakshami and his real form is god Vishnu. Even though Krishna spent a lot of time with Radha in childhood, Rukmini was the one he was meant to be with.
Jambavati
Jambavati is the second wife of the Hindu god Krishna. She is the daughter of a bear-king named Jambavan. Krishna married her after he defeated her father and got back a precious jewel called Syamantaka that had been stolen.
Reason behind marrying 16,100 girls
There was a demon named Narakasura who had captured 16,100 unmarried girls and forced them to serve him. When Lord Krishna defeats Narakasura, he rescues those girls from his control. The girls were worried because society wouldn’t accept them after Narakasura captured them.
They requested Lord Krishna to marry them because they believed no one else would marry them. Lord Krishna, understanding their situation, decided to marry all the girls. Due to this way, they could lead respectable lives without anyone mistreating them.
