His career has been marked with fitness issues. And this Friday added another chapter to those issues. Rahkeem Cornwall was the victim of a hilarious runout in CPL 2023 that left the fans and even the commentators in splits.
The incident happened during the match between Saint Lucia Kings and Barbados Royals. Cornwall got run out in a disastrous fashion and the video has broken the internet as fans all around the world are reacting to it.
Hilarious Run Out
The incident happened during the first delivery of the second innings. Saint Lucia scored a massive total of 201 runs while batting first. Cornwall and Kyle Mayers stated the inning for the Barbados-based franchise.
Rahkeem Cornwall decided to steal a quick single on the first delivery after Chris Sole fumbled the ball. But he quickly recovered and throw the ball towards Cornwall’s end. To everyone’s surprise, the West Indies international was walking rather than running.
It was a direct hit and Cornwall had to go to the pavilion. It was a disastrous ye a comical runout. The stadium was filled with laughter and even the commentators were heard laughing over the bizarre incident.
A Dominating Win
Barbados never recovered from this disastrous start and Saint Lucia Kings defeated them by 54 runs. Barbados got all out on 147 runs as Matthew Dorde took 3 quick wickets. Jason Holder’s heroics after taking four wickets for Barbados went in vain as his team suffered a huge loss.
