Cricket Viral Video: During the year 2002, the iconic trio of Indian batsmen, namely Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Sourav Ganguly, all achieved the feat of scoring centuries within a single innings, marking the only occurrence of such an accomplishment in their storied cricketing journeys. This remarkable event took place during the second-to-last Test match of the four-game series held in England, which followed India’s celebrated victory in the Natwest series earlier that year.
India’s shiny day with the bat
With India lagging behind in the series by a score of 1-0, they made a rather unexpected decision to take the batting stance in the face of overcast conditions. This choice raised eyebrows among both analysts and enthusiasts. Yet, as events unfolded, this strategy proved to be a stroke of genius. This strategic move became more better as the team had deployed two spinners in their lineup, strategically aiming to capitalise on the pitch conditions during the fourth innings.
Sanjay Bangar displayed a resilient innings, braving the challenges posed by a treacherous pitch. His remarkable display garnered him a score of 68 runs from 236 balls, setting a solid foundation for the team. Collaborating effectively with Rahul Dravid (148), he contributed to a significant second-wicket partnership, amassing a noteworthy 170 runs. Following this, Dravid went on to secure a century, a notable achievement in the match. Accompanied by centuries from both Sachin Tendulkar (193) and captain Sourav Ganguly (128), the team declared their first innings at a commanding 628/8.
With this total, they clinched their inaugural Test victory in England since 1986, accomplishing it by an impressive margin of an innings and 46 runs.

Regrettably, despite the uplifting triumph at Headingley, Team India couldn’t quite capitalize on the momentum. The last Test held at the Oval concluded without a clear winner, resulting in a 1-1 tied series outcome.
