Disaster Struck
The Cricket Viral Video features the second ODI of the 2022 India vs Bangladesh series. In the second over of the match, a delivery by Mohammad Siraj took a big edge and went towards Rohit Sharma who was at 2nd slip.
Rohit dropped the catch and had to leave the ground, then the stadium for a quick visit to the hospital. A dislocated thumb was revealed and several stitches were needed. Even after a disastrous start, Bangladesh made 271 runs in their innings.
While chasing, India lost their 4 wickets before 100 runs. Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel tried to revive the inning but failed. A collapse was instigated and the Blues were on 207/7. With 59 runs needed from 29 deliveries, the skipper decided to enter the field with a broken thumb and damaged pride.
Cricket Viral Video: Underrated Hero
Rohit Sharma took Bangladesh’s bowlers for a ride. He scored 51 runs in just 28 deliveries with 3 boundaries and 5 sixes. Keep in mind that his thumb was dislocated and was in stitches at the time.
He fought against pace and a good bowling attack but failed to hit a boundary on the last delivery because of his injury. India lost the match but Rohit showed why he is regarded as the finest hitter in cricket.
