Cricket Viral Video: In Worcestershire’s County Championship match against Glamorgan on September 4, Logan van Beek delivered a superb yorker that dismissed Jamie McIlroy, securing the last wicket of the innings. The batsman was left utterly clueless as the ball struck on to stumps.
Bowler completely bamboozles the batter
Batting second, Glamorgan found themselves in a tough spot, struggling at 170-9 while chasing Worcestershire’s first-innings total of 284. The eighth and ninth wickets fell in consecutive overs, bringing Jamie McIlroy to the crease alongside Billy Root. With a substantial lead still to overcome, Root and McIlroy faced a challenging task. However, Logan van Beek ended the innings dramatically.
Van Beek, who had already claimed three wickets in the innings (Colin Ingram, Chris Cooke, and Ben Kellaway), bowled a perfect delivery on the final ball of his 12th over to McIlroy. Delivering the ball from over the wicket, he generated significant outswing and pitched it on McIlroy’s toes, right in front of the middle stump. The batter couldn’t understand the movement and was bowled out.

McIlroy, the No.11 batsman, had no response to the well-executed delivery, and it crashed into his middle and off stumps. This wicket marked van Beek’s best-ever County Championship performance, finishing with figures of 4-42, and Glamorgan faced a first-innings lead of 114 runs.
