But Lee’s ability to constantly bowl at 155kph with a non-clingy action and very good accuracy was something to marvel at. He was the main brute force of the Australian side that dominated the cricket world.
And even in his decline, he was a loyal servant to Cricket Australia and remained one of their main bowlers. Let’s look at the quickest spell Brett Lee has ever bowled, leaving the batsman terrified.

During the fifth test in Napier against New Zealand in 2005, Lee decided to show his wrath. Australia had already won the series by taking an undefeatable lead of 4-0. And while batting first, they scored 347 runs in the final match.
New Zealand wanted to fight and avoid a whitewash in their home. But Brett Lee had other ideas. With Craig Cumming at strike, he started the over with a basic pace of 143 kph. But what came after that would be remembered forever.

After the first delivery, just for accuracy and to find the rhythm, Lee started his storm. The second delivery broke the 150 kph barrier and was at 151. The third delivery skyrocketed to 158 kph.
The fourth delivery was wide but touched 160 kph. The next delivery became the second fastest, with 161.1 kph. And he finished the over with a 158 kph delivery. By the end of the over, the New Zealand crowd was on their feet for the biggest villain in the country at that time.
All this while Craig Cummings remained stranded at the batting end, struggling to put his bat down to touch the ball. Such was the wrath of the quickest bowler of all time.
