His amazing century against the Welsh Fire was the only thing that stood between both teams. After all, no other batsman was able to touch the 20-run mark in the match. Harry is on a vengeance mission right now.
But it was not only his batting that made the headlines. Harry Brook took a sensational catch of his test teammate Jonny Bairstow on the boundary line. This might be the best tag team catch in the history of cricket.
Cricket Viral Video: A Sensational Catch
While chasing, Welsh Fire were in a properly good situation as they were on 140 runs in 81 deliveries with just one wicket lost. Jonny Bairstow was on 44 and wanted to reach his half-century in style as he pulled the ball by Carse.
Harry Brook was standing on the boundary line and took an amazing leap to grab to ball. He lost his balance but made sure to throw the ball in the field again and somehow caught it again. But ironically lost his balance again.
That is when he saw Adam Hose near him and threw the ball lightly towards him before falling over. Hose completed a very easy catch to dismiss Bairstow and bring Northern Light’s Super Chargers back into the game for a little while.
A Sensational Century
Even though Superchargers might have lost, Brook was the highlight of the match. While every other batsman failed to even touch the 20-run mark, Brook completed his century in just 41 deliveries.
This was the fastest century in The Hundred and a statement to all the selectors who omitted him from the English squad. This became the starting point of an unofficial rebellion by Harry Brooks, who kept on performing till he was reselected in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 squad.
