Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Tirunelveli Chennai Vande Bharat Express on 24th September via Video Conference. The train will reach the starting location for the important trials ahead of the launch. The train will leave from Tirunelveli station in the afternoon and will reach the city in around 7 hours. The Southern Railway will also get 2 more Vande Bharat Trains on 24th September. The Tirunelveli Chennai Vande Bharat Express is likely to leave at 6am in the morning and will reach Chennai around 1.30 pm in the afternoon.
Railways yet to announce the Fare of the Train
The train will run on all days except Tuesday from Chennai. The train will stop at Virudhnagar, Madurai, Dindigul and Tiruchi. Railways are yet to announce the fares and also the number of coaches will be decided as per the demand of the Public. This will be Tamil Nadu’s 3rd vande Bharat Train after the launch of Chennai Mysuru Vande Bharat Express in November.
Train likely to cover distance of 516 km
The train is likely to cover a distance of 516 km within 6 hours and forty minutes. With the launch of this train, the travel time between Chennai and Tirunelveli will come down to less than 8 hours from the existing 11 to 12 hours.
