Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal in a pre-recorded audio message said that the CBSE optional exams may be conducted in case situation is conducive in August or any other later date. He has also mentioned that the safety of the students is paramount to the government.

“Class 10, 12 students will be evaluated based on an objective scheme and will benefit students. Students who will not be satisfied with the result will be given a chance to appear for exams,” he said.
In the wake of the second wave of coronavirus pandemic, the ministry has cancelled CBSE Class 10th and 12th board exam.
