Virat Kohli: We all have our opinions regarding the greatest batsman of all time. Some say it’s Sachin Tendulkar, other thinks it’s Ricky Ponting. Players like Jacques Kallis, AB De Villiers, and others have also been in contention.
Virat Kohli has been also in contention as one of the modern greats. He is definitely the best batsman of the current generation and is in the debate of being the best batsman of all time as well.
Kohli recently became the fastest player to score 13,000 runs in ODI cricket and is really close to becoming the player with the most centuries in ODI cricket. He should be in the debate.
Kohli’s RCB companion AB De Villiers also has his say on the topic and tells everyone who the Goat is according to him.

AB De Villiers, on his YouTube channel, was taking part in a Q&A when someone asked him “Is Virat The Greatest?” To which De Villiers replied with a straightforward explanation.
According to the Proteas batsman, Virat Kohli is the greatest ODI batsman of all time. “If you look at Virat’s stats and what he has done over the years. Especially, batting under pressure and second innings chasing. He is certainly the best player to ever play ODI cricket in books.”
ICC ODI World Cup 2023 In Sights
As Kohli has come back in form, his main goal is to win the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 with the Indian team. He will play against Australia in the last ODI of the three-match series. India has already won the series but it will be good practice as India’s first match in the World Cup is against the Aussies only.
