ChatGPT: According to its parent firm, OpenAI, ChatGPT can now search the internet to give consumers the most recent information. The chatbot was initially programmed to use data up to September 2021 and was unable to deliver real-time information.
ChatGPT can now connect to the internet
The Microsoft-backed OpenAI company revealed on X, previously Twitter, on Wednesday that the new version enables it to access current internet data and skip the September 2021 deadline.
The “Browse with Bing” feature is now accessible to ChatGPT users who have purchased a subscription, according to OpenAI, who also promised that “we’ll expand to all users soon.”
How to connect it to the internet?
- Launch ChatGPT and select “Settings” from the menu that appears in the bottom left corner.
- Toggle “Browse with Bing” under “Beta features” after that.
- Go to the “GPT-4” model right now and select “Browse with Bing” from the drop-down menu.
- Now, Ask questions about any subject you’re interested in, and the internet will provide you with the most recent information.
