Viral Video: What are individuals not doing to improve their looks? Some people choose to improve their bodies through surgery, while others work on improving themselves through independent activity. However, some people willy-nilly follow orders from anyone and begin acting in ways that are wrong for them. These days, some people are participating in a risky trend.
Understanding the ‘Bone Smashing Challenge’ and Its Popularity
Over 267.7 million people have viewed the “Bone Smashing Tutorial” video on TikTok, according to Forbes. However, there is no proof that hammering your face will be beneficial. Wolfe’s law is being used by TikTok users and trend participants to defend the alarming bone-smashing trend.
The Dangerous TikTok Trend
On TikTok, there is a challenge where participants are required to perform an odd task in order to develop a strong jawline. Under this, a hammer or other powerful weapon is used to repeatedly strike the cheek or jaw bones. Those who have used this experiment claim that it results in minor facial fractures and an appealing change in the bone structure. With the hashtag #bonesmashing, which has been watched by more than 2 crore people so far, this practise is growing in popularity. Many people have justified their adoption of this challenge by claiming that it will improve their jawline.
Unraveling the Science and Risks
This is due to the fact that, generally speaking, exerting mechanical force or physical stress on your bones can speed up this remodelling process and result in stronger, thicker bones. Bones may thin out or weaken as a result of such strain or a lack of force. Without any additional proof, individuals are now breaking bones in their faces with hammers in an effort to grow new bones and give themselves a more chiselled appearance. This is also supported by the idea that bones get stronger when they recover from an injury. There isn’t any proof, though, that getting struck in the face with a hammer can increase your attractiveness.
