Ghaziabad News: In a recent viral video on social media, a professor at Ghaziabad’s ABES Engineering College allegedly asked a student to leave the stage during a cultural fest. The incident occurred after some students in the audience chanted “Jai Shri Ram” slogans, prompting the student on stage to respond in kind. The entire auditorium joined in, chanting the slogan in chorus. The professor then requested the student to leave the stage, citing that such slogans were inappropriate for a cultural event at the college.
Public Reacts with Strong Disapproval
The video quickly went viral, and netizens expressed their dismay over the incident. In response, local authorities took action, deploying police personnel and a police van outside the ABES college.
ABES Engineering College Director’s Response
Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, the Director of ABES Engineering College, issued a video statement addressing the incident. He acknowledged that a disagreement had occurred among students and faculty members on a particular topic. Dr. Singh confirmed the formation of an inquiry committee to probe the matter and assured that appropriate action would be taken once the investigation is completed. Furthermore, Dr. Singh clarified that the college authorities would not take any punitive action against the students involved.
