Lotus Eletre: With the introduction of its Electra electric SUV, luxury British sports car maker Lotus has made its official debut in the Indian market. The business has introduced its first electric SUV, the Lotus Eletre, in India in an attempt to capitalise on the festive season. Powertrain
Across the range, the Eletre is standard equipped with a 112kWh battery pack unit. With its dual motor configuration, the Eletre and Eletre S can travel 600 km on a single charge and generate 600 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque. However, the more powerful Eletre R comes with a two-speed gearbox, two motors, and a power output of over 900 horsepower and 985 Nm of torque. This combination allows it to have a driving range of 490 kilometres.
Features onboard
The Eletre’s interior is very tech-heavy and driver-focused, unlike most other cars. When not in use, the enormous 15.1-inch infotainment display, which is powered by the Lotus Hyper OS, folds down into the dashboard. The driver has access to a big and user-friendly head-up display (HUD) in place of an instrument panel, and the front cabin is divided evenly into two portions with two thin information displays.
Wireless charging, 12-way adjustable front seats, four-zone climate control, a 15-speaker premium sound system with Dolby Atmos and KEF, adjustable ambient lighting, soft-close doors, and more are features of the Lotus Eletre. With the Eletre, Lotus is providing ADAS with LIDAR technology, which is thought to be far more sophisticated than the conventional camera and radar system.
