Sadhguru Tips: Popular businessmen Narayan Murthy and Bill Gates have given their definitions for work motivation. While Narayan Murthy advised of doing 70 hours of work per week, Bill Gates said that a person should work only 3 days a week. Their statements went viral online and several employees reacted to their statements. Now, popular spiritual guru Jaggi Vasudev reacted to these statements in his recent interview and he weighed on doing what you love to do for best and better results.
Sadhguru Tips: Jaggi Vasudev reacted to the working hours statement
Sadhguru said that if you are working what you love, creating something that matters and doing something very significant then working 70 hours will be too little. He said that if you are working for just a living then you will always see ways to reduce hours but if you are doing something that matters then you shouldn’t define hours for working.
He supported Narayan Murthy’s statement by saying that he said 70 hours per week because he knows the condition of India and he wants people to get a basic living. Sadhguru said that Narayan Murthy gave that statement to develop the country because many employees worked 12-14 hours to make other countries develop.
Jaggi Vasudev says people should do something significant
The spiritual guru said that you should do something significant to you because if you do not do something that matters to you then you will feel like you are doing something for someone else and it will lead you to define hours which is not good. He also said that you shouldn’t work for a living only but you must make a life out of this.
