Maruti Suzuki: In order to automate driving licence test tracks at Driver Training and Testing Institutes (DTTIs) in Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Mathura, Prayagraj and Varanasi, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, a leading Indian automaker, inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Transport Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The initiative’s goal is to employ cutting-edge technology to improve the thoroughness, effectiveness, and transparency of the licence issue process. Both Tarun Agarwal, vice president of CSR at Maruti Suzuki, and Shri Chandra Bhushan Singh (IAS), transport commissioner for the state of Uttar Pradesh, signed the memorandum of agreement.

In front of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the deal was signed by Tarun Agarwal, vice president and corporate social responsibility of Maruti Suzuki India, and Chandra Bhushan Singh, IAS, transport commissioner of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The initiative’s goal is to employ cutting-edge technology to improve the thoroughness, effectiveness, and transparency of the licence issue process. High-definition cameras, an integrated IT system, and test tracks designed scientifically will all be included in the DTTIs to ensure precise driving skill evaluation.
These state-of-the-art facilities will be used to evaluate applicants for driving licences. Candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting safe driving will be the only ones granted a driving licence. According to the MoA, Maruti Suzuki would automate the driving licence test tracks for heavy-duty vehicles (HMV), light-duty vehicles (LMV), and two-wheelers.

Shri Chandra Bhushan Singh (IAS), Transport Commissioner, Government of Uttar Pradesh said “We are extremely delighted to partner with Maruti Suzuki in making the issuance of driving license more scientific and transparent. Under the MoA, test tracks at Driver Training and Testing Institutes (DTTIs) at Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Mathura, Prayagraj and Varanasi will be automated. This will make our roads safer, help bring down road accidents and save lives”
