Honda e-MTB details
It debuted alongside many other state-of-the-art and/or brand-expanding models from leading Japanese automakers and motorcycle manufacturers at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo.
Design
Honda‘s proficiency with motorcycling is evident, as it almost looks like a trail bike complete with pedals and a saddle. With a swingarm design and a cut-out notch that appears to be a handle for transporting the bike, this thin-wall aluminium frame is designed for comfort.
This model at the Japanese Mobility Show had Fox suspension components, an SRAM Eagle AXS gearbox, and Shimano disc brakes. Despite photographs of the display unit bearing the “Brose” label and rumours to the contrary, it is yet unknown that the motor is a Brose Drive S Mag system.
Range details
The electric bicycle manufactured by Honda has a lithium-ion battery that enables it to have a 150-kilometer range. It takes just three or four hours to fully charge the Honda e-MTB Electric Cycle.
Will it launch anytime soon?
Reportedly, the e-MTB concept is “being positively considered for commercialization,” while still very much in the prototype stage.
