Tragic End in New York
Ruslana Korshunova allegedly jumped from the ninth floor balcony of her posh Wall Street apartment in New York in 2008, nearly two years after allegedly boarding Epstein’s ‘Lolita Express’ plane and accompanying him to his private island in the US Virgin Islands, where he was known to sexually abuse young girls.
Ruslana Korshunova’s Entry into Epstein’s World
According to flight logs, Korshunova, a model who has worked for prominent designers and brands such as Marc Jacobs, DKNY, and Vera Wang, was just 18 years old when she boarded the convicted paedophile’s private plane on June 7, 2006. The trip happened just a few weeks before Epstein was arrested. Epstein and Korshunova were joined on the plane by his bodyguard, personal chef, and assistant. Another woman aboard the plane was eventually identified as former UFC fighter Stephanie Tidwell.
The Unanswered Questions Post-Arrival
There are no information on what transpired after they arrived on the island where Epstein was known to host sex parties with celebrities. Kurshunova, 20, was known as “The Russian Rapunzel” for her long, flowing hair and was heralded as the next great thing in modelling. Her ex-boyfriend told The New York Post following her death that she was suffering from “problems” that she often kept “bottled up.”
Notes Revealing Korshunova’s Struggles
She left notes before her death regarding troubles in her love life and how much she missed her home and family. Her ex-boyfriend claimed she had lost a lot of weight a month before her death and was struggling to combine her personal and professional lives. “I think she just gave up,” he added, adding that the young woman had told her manager that “she didn’t know what she was going to do with her life.”
