Kia Sonet Facelift: Kia Motors announced the fuel efficiency figures of the new Sonet Facelift before the official launch. This while, the Kia has again introduced the diesel manual option with the facelifted Sonet. Now potential buyers can choose from three powerhouses and six transmission options. However, the brand has not revealed the fuel efficiency figures for the new Sonet’s diesel manual option. But what we have right now is the ARAI mileage figures for all the other powertrain options available for the Sonet Facelift.
Kia Sonet Facelift: ARAI Fuel Efficiency Figures
The 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine options on the Kia Sonet facelift deliver the best fuel efficiency as per the ARAI figures and now they perform even better than they did in the previous model of the sub-compact SUV. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre diesel engine option is expected to provide less mileage than before.
Diving into the numbers, the 1.2-litre coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission delivers an ARAI claimed mileage of 18.83 km. On the other hand, the 1.0-litre turbo petrol coupled with 6-speed IMT and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission provides a claimed mileage of 18.7 and 19.2 kmpl respectively.
The diesel powertrain in the sub-compact SUV coupled with a 6-speed iMT and 6-speed torque converter provides an ARAI claimed mileage of 22.3 kmpl and 18.6 km respectively.
