Parag Agrawal: The Indian-born CEO of Twitter, Parag Agrawal, has raised about $30 million for his new artificial intelligence venture. Agrawal’s business, which focuses on providing tools for designers of extended language models like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, is supported by funds headed by Khosla Ventures, which is well-known for sponsoring OpenAI.

After a stunning turn of events that saw Elon Musk fire Agrawal, he has quietly turned his attention to a new project: an AI firm for which he has raised an astounding $30 million in seed money. Agrawal has been keeping a low profile since leaving Twitter. According to people acquainted with the situation, The Information, his new project attempts to produce software specifically for LLM (Large Language Model) developers.
Significant investment for Agrawal’s firm came from Khosla Ventures, a prominent supporter of OpenAI. Although the specifics of the startup are still undisclosed, the investment was also made by two additional venture firms, Index Ventures and First Round Capital.
Who is Paras Agrawal?
In November 2021, Mr. Agrawal was selected as Twitter’s first CEO of Indian descent. When the company had less than 1,000 workers in 2011, the Stanford and IIT Bombay alumnus joined. In 2017, he was appointed chief technology officer (CTO) of the business. One of the youngest people to take the top of a major technology company was the 39-year-old.
