Tata Punch EV: Tata Motors has launched the much-awaited electric hatchback, the Punch EV in India today. The electric micro SUV has some similar-looking design elements as the Nexon EV. The automaker has launched the new EV SUV with two battery packs, allowing the electric car to provide a maximum range of up to 421 km on a solitary charge.

Tata Punch EV Power
Tata Punch has arrived with two battery pack options like other EV offerings in Tata’s portfolio. The two battery pack options are the Medium range and Long range.
Starting with the medium-range powertrain, it comes equipped with a 25 kWh battery pack, generating a maximum power of 82 PS and a peak torque of 114 Nm. The medium-range powertrain provides a claimed range of 315 km on a single charge and boasts a top speed of 110 kmph.
Talking about the long-range variants, they feature a 35 kWh battery pack. This powertrain generates a maximum power of 122 PS and a maximum torque of 190 Nm. Along with the power, it also provides an impressive range of 421 km and runs with a top speed of 140 kmph.
The charging options for the new electric Micro SUV include a 50 kW DC fast charging and for charging at home, the automaker offers a 7.2 kW and 3.3 kW chargers.
Tata Punch EV Design
The Punch EV comes based on Tata’s new platform and thus it gets major design overhauls in the exteriors. The new design elements of the micro SUV include new LED DRLs and a sleek skid plate in the front fascia. The Micro SUV features 16-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. Apart from this, the rear door handles of the micro SUV are positioned on the C-Pillar. The rear design language of the electric SUV largely remains the same as the ICE counterpart.
In terms of exteriors, the micro SUV features a dual-tone black and grey cabin which comes with a layered design. One of the major interior highlights of the Punch EV includes a two-spoke steering wheel and an illuminated Tata logo on it.

Inside the cabin, the Tata Punch EV gets some premium features which include two 10.25-inch screens, one as an infotainment system and another as a driver’s display. The SUV also gets touch climate control, ventilated seats, wireless phone charger, Android Auto, Apple Car Play and Arcade. ev tech that enables passengers to watch movies and shows.
