Today marks the 75th year of India’s Independence. On this day, after years of sheer dedication and resilience, India gained its independence from British rule. Since that day, August 15 is celebrated all across the country with utmost pride and joy.
As always, Red Fort witnessed the iconic celebrations to commemorate 75 years of Independence. W With hopes in heart and courage in eyes, every Indian’s head is held high today as we hoist the national flag and sing the National Anthem to honor the struggles and battles that our freedom fighters underwent to make our country free.
Like every other citizen, out Bollywood star also shared their best wishes on this special day. Several B-town and Television celebrities took to their official Twitter and Instagram accounts to extend warm wishes to their fans.
Dharmendra shared a throwback picture to wish ‘Happy Independence Day’
Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram stories and remembered the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Amitabh Bachchan shared four posters featuring himself to wish his fans a Happy Independence Day. The colours of the Indian National Flag dominate the posters. Sharing the posters, Big B wrote, “Swatantrata Diwas ki anek anek shubhkamnayein (sic).”
Amid the threats posed by novel coronavirus, Independence Day is being celebrated in a low-key manner. Prime Minister Narendra Modi unfurled the Tricolor at the Red Fort in Delhi. He also addressed the nation from the rampart of the historic monument.
