Ghaziabad News: Under the Chief Minister Green Road Infrastructure Development Urban Scheme, six city roads will be designated as model roads. These roadways will have vegetation planted on both sides of them. In addition, a bike track and walkway will be constructed. The Municipal Corporation has spent Rs 349 crore on preparing a thorough project study for this. Along with the officials, Mayor Sunita Dayal conducted an inspection on Wednesday.
Mayor’s Vision for City Roads
According to the mayor, the following roads have been placed under the CM Grid, the road from the Mohannagar bus stop to the Air Force Station via the Mohannagar intersection; the elevated road to the Hindon metro station; the road from the Rajnagar Extension intersection to the elevated road; and the road from the Rajnagar Extension intersection to Meerut Road. This includes the route from the Air Force Station to Sheshnag Gate.
Comprehensive Roadway Expansion
These roadways will be widened, along with a pathway, cycling track, underground wiring, and other beautifying projects, according to Chief Engineer NK Chaudhary. To get around the issue of traffic congestion, the route will be enlarged. There will be elevated concrete walkways. There will be flowering plants and extensive painting on both sides of the divide.
Along the road, a vibrant cycle track will be installed at a six-inch height. Every road will have underground wire installed. The overhead cables and light poles will be taken down. Every road will have green spaces developed around it, with exquisite paintings every 20 metres. In addition to planting grass, the stone slab statue will be erected.
Safety Enhancements at Road Crossings
During the inspection, the mayor gave the officers instructions to install red lights at road crossings, colourful fountains all over the place, animal statues made of stone, decorations made out of used plastic, and statues of lions to make sure everyone stays safe on the roads. Plans need to be put in place. According to the mayor, it is anticipated that this work will begin before to the Lok Sabha elections. During the inspection, Deshraj Singh, the executive engineer, Ganesh Lal, the assistant engineer, and Vinod Kumar, the junior engineer, were present.
