New Delhi: India recorded 36,401 new coronavirus cases over the last 24 hours. the nation’s overall case load now stands at 3.22 crore, while the total death are at 4.32 lakhs, with 530 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the health ministry.
The active cases have fallen to 3,64,129, which is the lowest in 149 days, and are 1.13 percent of total cases. Almost 39,157 people got discharged after treatment in the past 24 hours, adding to the total of 3.15 crore recoveries. The recovery rate reached to 97.52 percent, which is the highest since March 2020.
The US authorities on Wednesday, warned about the decrease in the Covid-19 vaccination efficacy, over time. They authorized booster shots for all Americans from September 20, starting eight months after an individual has been fully vaccinated.
“The available data make very clear that protection against (coronavirus) infection begins to decrease over time following the initial doses of vaccination, and in association with the dominance of the Delta variant we are starting to see evidence of reduced protection against mild and moderate disease,” the nation’s top health officials said in a statement.
“India’s cumulative covid-19 vaccination coverage crosses 56.57 crore. More than 48.81 lakh vaccine doses administered today till 7pm,” the health ministry said.
The national capital reported 36 fresh covid cases in the last 24 hours adding to the total of 14,37,192 cases. Almost 76 people recovered and 4 died due to covid in the last 24 hour.
However, Kerala recorded 21,427 fresh covid infection cases in the last 24 hours adding to the total of 37,45,457 cases. Almost 18,731 patients recovered and 179 people lost life due to covid in the last 24 hour.
